Dawn walk:

A huge thank you to every man, woman, child and dog who got up early on Saturday morning to take part in the successful dawn walk in association with ALPS. There were 30 brave runners and approximately 250 walkers who followed the scenic 5K route around Toome. Thank you to not only the Cargin members but also to friends and neighbours from surrounding clubs who got involved for this very important cause. A special mention to Roisin McCann, Una Cassidy, Pauline and Roisin McKeever who were instrumental in the success of this event. The final amount raised will be disclosed in due course.

Missing boiler:

The boiler from the club kitchen is still missing, please contact any committee member if you have the boiler so that it can be returned to the club.

Cargin golf day:

There are a limited amount of tee times remaining for the Erin’s Own Cargin golf classic on Friday 10th May at Moyola Park Golf Club. Contact Michael – 07885411112 or Donal – 07955800974 to secure your tee time. Entry per four ball team - £200. Great prizes on offer. Prize giving presentation at Cargin social club at 9pm on Friday 10th May. Sponsorship opportunities for tee boxes available.

Downstairs gym:

New opening hours from 6:30am to 9pm daily. Gym membership £20 a month or £8 a month bolt on for Gold card members. Please contact Eamonn 07851946687 for your key fob to gain access to the gym.

Pitch news:

Reminder to all players and managers to take all plastic bottles and drinks containers off the pitch after training and matches as it makes cutting the grass time consuming. Thank you for your understanding.

Car park:

Patrons are reminded that the large stone overflow car park is not to be used for parking unless attending a GAA event at the club. It is not for gaining access to residential properties - NO EXCEPTIONS! The bollards are up for a reason, and NO ONE should be accessing the car park by driving over the kerbs along the adjacent private lane which is for vehicular access to 3 Shore Road only. Please show consideration to other people’s property and be respectful to the wishes of our Executive committee.

Dog owners:

In the interest of health and hygiene dog owners are asked not to exercise dogs in the club grounds and are reminded to clean up after your dog! Please keep our grounds free from dog dirt…

Hall booking:

The main club hall can be booked for many events including indoor soccer, basketball, handball and of course birthdays! Please remember to contact Emmett before using the hall to make sure there is nothing else on at that time. Reminder that all hall bookings must be paid for at the end of each session. Users of the hall are asked to keep the hall and the store clean after use! Emmett - 07860964147
