Lotto:

Dawn walk:

The club will be hosting a 5k dawn walk on Saturday 30th March at 5:30am for ALPS (All Lives Are Precious). £10 adults and £5 for children under the age of 12. There will be refreshments in the club house afterwards including a bacon or sausage bap! Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash during the 5k route. Participants are invited to enjoy a mindful dawn walk while talking to family and friends however people are welcome to jog or run the route at their own risk. Membership:

Membership renewal is now live on www.foireann.ie Please ensure you have selected the correct option for your family. Cash and cheque payment options available. All members must be registered to play before training or taking part in matches. Deadline for all club registrations is Sunday 31st March. Contact club registrar Donal McKeever for assistance.

Missing boiler:

The boiler from the club kitchen is missing. Maybe you borrowed it and forgot to return it. Please contact any committee member if you have the boiler so that it can be returned to the club.

Cargin golf day:

There are a limited amount of tee times remaining for the Erin’s Own Cargin golf classic on Friday 10th May at Moyola Park Golf Club. Contact Michael – 07885411112 or Donal – 07955800974 to secure your tee time. Entry per four ball team - £200. Great prizes on offer. Prize giving presentation at Cargin social club at 9pm on Friday 10th May. Sponsorship opportunities for tee boxes available.

Downstairs gym:

New opening hours from 6:30am to 9pm daily. Gym membership £20 a month or £8 a month bolt on for Gold card members. Please contact Eamonn 07851946687 for your key fob to gain access to the gym.

National league:

Congratulations to Antrim senior footballers and Pat Shivers and Benen Kelly who defeated Wicklow in the National League on Sunday and as a result will stay in Division 3 of the National League next year! Well done everyone!

Pitch news:

Please note that the back pitch is closed until further notice due to the recent adverse weather. Reminder to all players and managers to take all plastic bottles and drinks containers off the pitch after training and matches as it makes cutting the grass time consuming. Thank you for your understanding.

Camogie presentation:

Erin’s Own GAC Cargin Camogie had their end of year presentation in the social club on Saturday night. It was very successful event and was well attended by the players, parents, coaches and committee members. There were special presentations to the winning minor league and championship camogie team and to the management of Thomas Cassidy and Margaret Mary McErlain. The All-Ireland Junior ‘C’ Colleges winners Laura Scullion, Grace O’Boyle and Caoimhe McErlain were presented with trophies in recognition of their All-Ireland success with St. Mary’s Magherafelt. Orlaith Johnston was recognised for her contribution to St. Pat’s Maghera as All-Ireland finalists in the Senior ‘A’ and Junior ‘A’ Colleges. St. Mary’s Magherafelt senior colleges players Sarah, Erin, Orla, Eimear, Laura and Caoimhe were also commended for reaching the All-Ireland Colleges Senior ‘B’ final. Sarah O’Neill received a trophy in recognition of her Colleges All-Star in Camogie, Sarah is also a dual Colleges All-Star in Ladies football! Stephen Magill presented Senior camogie players of the year awards to Catherine McFadden and Maura Creelman. Joint senior captains Catherine and Tanya O’Neill presented a token of appreciation to senior managers Stephen Magill and Liam McAtamney. Club person of the year was awarded to last years camogie chairperson and secretary Una Cassidy for all her hard work in successfully overseeing the amalgamation of the camogie and football clubs. Many thanks to Elaine Kelly who was in attendance to take photos for the Saffron Gael. Final thanks to the hardworking committee who organised the night especially Eimear, Una and Roisin!

Roads Service:

There will some traffic disruption from Monday 12th February to Friday 29th March due to ongoing roadworks to construct a cycleway in Toome. Members are asked to take care when entering and leaving the premises due to the proximity of heavy machinery.

Car park:

Patrons are reminded that the large stone overflow car park is not to be used for parking unless attending a GAA event at the club. It is not for gaining access to residential properties - NO EXCEPTIONS! The bollards are up for a reason, and NO ONE should be accessing the car park by driving over the kerbs along the adjacent private lane which is for vehicular access to 3 Shore Road only. Please show consideration to other people’s property and be respectful to the wishes of our Executive committee.

Dog owners:

In the interest of health and hygiene dog owners are asked not to exercise dogs in the club grounds and are reminded to clean up after your dog! Please keep our grounds free from dog dirt…

Hall booking:

The main club hall can be booked for many events including indoor soccer, basketball, handball and of course birthdays! Please remember to contact Emmett before using the hall to make sure there is nothing else on at that time. Reminder that all hall bookings must be paid for at the end of each session. Users of the hall are asked to keep the hall and the store clean after use! Emmett - 07860964147

Sunday 31st March: U10 boys football at 11am, U12/14 boys football at 12pm, U10 ladies football 12-1pm, U8.5 boys at 1-2pm (hall)

Social club:
