Fancy Dress Mixed Doubles Handball Tournament at Cargin: A Spooktacular Showdown! 🎃🏐
This year’s Fancy Dress Mixed Doubles Handball Tournament at Cargin Social Club was nothing short of spectacular, with players and fans alike embracing the Halloween spirit in full costume! From the thrilling matches to the eye-catching outfits, it was a day to remember.
The tournament saw an array of iconic duos step onto the court. The much-loved 118 Men brought their signature red shorts and headbands as they faced off against the fierce combo of William Wallace and Harley Quinn. With Wallace’s warrior determination and Harley’s mischievous flair, the match was intense and highly entertaining. Another standout game was between CJ and Mitch from Baywatch and the quirky team of Shrek and Princess Fiona. The Baywatch lifeguards were agile on their feet, while Shrek’s ogre-like strength (and some impressive moves from Fiona) kept the game competitive. Fans were in stitches seeing the familiar characters clash in such an unexpected way. The costume creativity didn't stop there, with other unforgettable pairings like Mario and Luigi, Batman and Robin and the musical legends Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, who added some country flair to the mix with their rhinestones and wigs.
The competition was fierce, but the overall winners were the dynamic duos of Maeve and Connor and Eleanor and Barry, who emerged victorious after two thrilling finals. The event was more than just a tournament; it was a carnival of fun, laughter, and community spirit. With prizes for the top-performing teams, the Fancy Dress Handball Tournament has officially become one of Cargin’s most beloved and anticipated events. Until next year’s showdown, the memories (and photos!) will keep the banter going strong. Final amount raised for charity will be revealed soon! 🏆🎭
