Club notes Sunday 12th May

Lotto:

Last week’s lotto numbers were 12, 14, 17 and 21. £25 lucky dip winners: Martha Grant (online) and John McNabb (online). Jackpot next week £1,800!! Darts competition:

The Colm O’Neill Cup darts competition was a very successful and well supported event with all the proceeds supporting Bremar Mental Health and Wellbeing on Saturday past. Congratulations to Adrian Devine (Current Ireland darts captain) and runner up Jason Lockhart. Well done to Connor Ewart for all his hard work and organisation for what will hopefully be an annual event. Thanks to event sponsors – M&A Development, McCorley Mechanical and Electrical, PMG Contracts, McCloskey Contracts, Breathe Sports, BVD Darts and Oran McAuley mortgage and insurance. Thanks also to all the participants on the day.

Missing boiler:

The boiler from the club kitchen is still missing, please contact any committee member if you have the boiler so that it can be returned to the club.

Cargin golf day:

Well done to over 150 golfers who took on Moyola Park golf course on Friday 10th May and were blessed with good weather and goodie bags for the Cargin golf classic. Firstly a special word of thanks to Michael McCorley and Donal McKeever for all their organisation and hard work to make sure the event was a success. Thanks also to Sean and Mary McKeever for the very welcome refreshments at the 10th hole, to the numerous volunteers who helped out on the day and to all the generous sponsors who donated prizes and sponsored the different holes. Finally, a huge thank you to all the players who supported this event and to everyone who bought raffle tickets and to those who entered the Go for the green competition at the 12th hole.

Pitch news:

Reminder to all players and managers to take all plastic bottles and drinks containers off the pitch after training and matches as it makes cutting the grass time consuming. Thank you for your understanding.

Downstairs gym:

New opening hours from 6:30am to 9pm daily. Gym membership £20 a month or £8 a month bolt on for Gold card members. Please contact Eamonn 07851946687 for your key fob to gain access to the gym.

Car park:

Patrons are reminded that the large stone overflow car park is not to be used for parking unless attending a GAA event at the club. It is not for gaining access to residential properties - NO EXCEPTIONS! The bollards are up for a reason, and NO ONE should be accessing the car park by driving over the kerbs along the adjacent private lane which is for vehicular access to 3 Shore Road only. Please show consideration to other people’s property and be respectful to the wishes of our Executive committee.

Dog owners:

In the interest of health and hygiene dog owners are asked not to exercise dogs in the club grounds and are reminded to clean up after your dog! Please keep our grounds free from dog dirt…

Hall booking:

The main club hall can be booked for many events including indoor soccer, basketball, handball and of course birthdays! Please remember to contact Emmett before using the hall to make sure there is nothing else on at that time. Reminder that all hall bookings must be paid for at the end of each session. Users of the hall are asked to keep the hall and the store clean after use! Emmett - 07860964147
